You are….
In the words of Albert Einstein “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”.
Ruts & Routine
It’s easy to find yourself in a rut of a routine; one that kind of works for you but then again, kind of doesn’t. Each day you follow a structured routine that is safe, a routine that at one point in time had a start and now it seems like it has no end.
You say to yourself ‘this is how it is and this is how it will be’ forgetting that each day is an opportunity for a new starting point. Time to change the narrative, now more than ever you need to have the ability to gather up the energy to mindfully connect with change. You have done it before (I promise) and there is no reason why you can’t do it again.
Connect with change
How do you connect with change? A simple analogy I use is, when you are heading out for your daily run instead of turning left like you always do why not turn right? What might you find if you change direction, run a different road from a different angle.
Even if you were to turn left like you always do choose to see the difference each day brings; the light the welcomes you, the bird calls even the gravel in front of you; how has the nights rain changed the texture. As humans we forget to notice the smallest of changes, we are programmed to think everything is (& maybe should) stay the same but like nature, we are forever changing and evolving.
Natures offerings
Our greatest allies are natures offerings; habitat and produce. Nature shows us abundance and famine, she visually flourishes in spring and releases in autumn, she revives, restores and then resets and she does so with energy and rest.
Nature allows us to be well-nourished both physically and mentally; she provides a backdrop of calm, chaos and never-ending beauty. She provides for us not only energy but food so we have energy. Her offerings are born on simple and grounded foundations.
The foods we eat, natures harvest has been nurtured with fuel, water and respite. Imagine if we were to treat ourselves with the same ingredients. We would think and act more clearly with better focus and have the ability to recognise when change is needed.
How do you feel when you eat an apple as opposed to a donut? Which food item provides the greatest life forces? Plants (& produce) are abundantly bursting with energy; natures energy from the sun to the soil. Change up your food choices and you will change up your energy, it really is as simple as that.
We nourish those around us and most importantly ourselves when we tap into the energy of nature; when we adapt to change daily even seasonally and when we gain a better understanding of our life cycle which is entwined deeply with nature.
Play, train, nourish
We play, train and nourish with nature and we consume natures seasonal foods from fields, gardens, orchards and farmlands which have supported us generously for generations. When you understand the ingredients to life; how best to choose, prepare and develop you suddenly take better control of your health, your energy and your ability to re train the brain. You are a master of your destiny and in control of your direction so time to lean on nature to help move you forward in a plentiful and powerful way.
You are nature. You are ever changing. You are strong. You just are.
